The first race was held in 1993, and runs for 317 miles in 300 laps. It was known as the New England 300 from 2001-03 and 2005, the Siemens 300 in 2004, and thatlook.com 300 in 2000. The 2006 winner was Kyle Busch, Tony Stewart won in 2005 as well as 2000 and Kurt Busch won in 2004. Preceded by the USG Sheetrock 400, the Lenox Industrial Tools 300 is followed by the Pennsylvania 500.

The New Hampshire International Speedway is an oval track that measures just over a mile at 1.058. It is also known as Loudon. When built in 1990 the track was the largest speedway in New England. Expansion after gave it the distinction of being the largest sports venue in the region of any kind. With a 91,000 seating capacity, the track became host to the first race in the Chase for the Cup NASCAR "playoff" Series. In 2002 the corners of the track were converted to a progressive banking system. The track has fallen victim to floods a number of times.
